Giacomo Morri (PhD & MRICS)
Giacomo Morri is Associate Professor of Practice of Corporate Finance & Real Estate at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Since January 2018, he is Corporate Finance and Real Estate Faculty Deputy at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is Contract Professor in the Finance Department at Bocconi University. At SDA Bocconi, he is Head of “Percorso Real Estate” executive program and he has directed the Master in Real Estate and the Executive Master in Corporate Finance & Banking. He has conducted numerous research, training and consulting projects especially with companies operating in the real estate sector. His research activities focus on corporate finance and real estate issues, on business and real estate valuation and structured property financing. He is the author of numerous books and articles on corporate finance issues, with international publications in scientific journals such as Journal of Property Investment & Finance, Journal of European Real Estate Research, Journal of Corporate Real Estate and Finanza Marketing e Produzione. He is editorial board member of scientific journals, including Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, Terra Italia and Journal of European Real Estate Research. He has been Visiting Scholar in the Department of Real Estate & Planning at School of Business at Reading University, Visiting Researcher at Cass Business School University (London), Visiting Professor at ISEG University of Lisbon and at the MBA in Hospitality Management IMHI at ESSEC Business School (Paris). He is Past-President of the European Real Estate Society and he is RICS Member, Assessor and Registered Valuer. He serves as independent director on the board of UnipolSai Investimenti SGR and he is on the advisory boards of real estate funds managed by Axa Reim SGR, Generali Real Estate SGR and Prelios SGR. He earned a Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and a Ph.D. in Corporate Finance from University of Trieste.
Antonio Mazza (MBA & MRICS)
Antonio Mazza has been working for almost 30 years in the real estate market. Following a law degree in 1989, he gained an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at “MIP – School of Management – Politecnico Milan”. Antonio gained significant experiences in Brescia, Como and Milan’s law firms. Starting from 1992, he has worked for Italian and foreign banks (namely “Cariplo”, “Banca Intesa”, “Barclays Group”, “DEPFA Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG” and “Aareal Bank AG”). Since 2012, Antonio is General Manager of “Aareal Bank AG” Italy and board member of several Italian real estate companies within the “Aareal Group”. Antonio is Teaching Fellow at SDA Bocconi School of Management and member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Antonio has published extensively in national newspapers and first-tier journals and conducts reviews on real estate finance related topics. He has been actively involved in activities aimed at promoting the knowledge of real estate finance on a pro bono basis.
Alessandro P. Scarso
Alessandro P. Scarso is tenured Professor of Civil Law at Bocconi University, Milan, and has taught at a plurality of both Italian and foreign universities (such as ESADE Barcelona, Freie Universität Berlin, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Uniwersytet Jagielloński W Krakowie, The Catholic University of America – Washington D.C., and Universität Zürich). He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and is the author, co-author, editor and co-editor of several books, articles, and notes, published both in Italy and abroad.
Alessandro has extensive experience in both the litigation and commercial aspects of corporate law as well as bankruptcies, receiverships, work-outs and enforcement of creditors’ rights and remedies.
He is qualified both as an “Avvocato” and as a Chartered Accountant (Dottore Commercialista and Revisore contabile) in Italy, and is admitted to the bar as a “Avvocato” at the Chambers of Lawyers of Frankfurt am Main.
